Orientation and Mobility Specialist

I am searching for qualified O&M trainers. Regional Center of the East Bay provides a variety of services to meet the needs of our developmentally disabled clients. One of the services we are seeking is O&M trainers to work with our visually impaired clients.  More specifically, we are trying to assist a client who is 62 years-old and currently lives in her own home in Oakland. She receives 24 hour care and supervision provided to her by a supported living agency funded by RCEB.  We are trying to locate an O&M trainer in the Bay Area to work with our client as well as train her support staff.

If you are interested in working directly with the above mentioned client or becoming a vendor with RCEB, please contact me at: 510.618.7746.

For more information regarding RCEB services please access our website:

(Tip: try searching Edjoin under "O&M", "orientation and mobility", "visual impairments", "visually impaired", "vision specialist")  Also try by choosing "California" in the search by keyword link.  Many O&M specialists and TVIs are employed by county offices of education, in larger districts they are employed by individual school districts.  Some are contracted through private agencies.  Not all SELPAs (Special Education Local Plan Area) or LEAs (Local Education Area) in California use Edjoin to list positions, so check with individual school districts and SELPAs.  A list of California SELPAS can be found at
