CAOMS is a non-profit statewide organization whose mission is to facilitate professional growth and to support the role of Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Specialists in the habilitation and education of individuals who have visual impairments.
Founded in 1966, CAOMShosts an annual statewide conference. Membership consists primarily of credentialed O&M Specialists. Student and associate memberships also make up the ranks of it's membership. Anyone who believes in the goals and mission of CAOMS is welcome to join.
The Southern California Association of Orientation and Mobility Specialists (S-CAOMS) continues to host a year-round series of virtual CEU offerings to statewide members of CAOMS featuring speakers from all over the country and abroad.
Our next virtual offering is scheduled for Sunday 10/28/18 from 9-10:30 AM PST and is titled "Teaching Yoga to Students with Visual Impairments." Presented by Kassandra Maloney, M.S., COMS, Author, Certified Yoga Teacher, Certified Radiant Child Yoga Teacher
